Lacquerware & Amethyst Beaded Necklace with Alloy Accents

Three materials, named as they are: a Chinese lacquer focal bead, a strand of natural amethyst, and alloy hardware. The lacquer is deep violet with white floral painting; the amethyst is faceted quartz. Wear it at the chest.

Materials & Construction

• Chinese lacquer focal bead: Pure natural raw lacquer, about 16mm. Tree sap, layered and cured — not paint or resin. White floral motifs are painted on the coat.
• Natural amethyst: Faceted strand beads, about 4.5mm. Purple quartz; tone runs from lavender to deeper violet along the strand.
• Alloy hardware: Barrel beads, spacers, charm, lobster clasp, and extension chain in a gold-tone alloy finish. Not solid gold.
• Weight: About 14.2g. Slight variation per piece.
• Closure: Lobster clasp with an adjustable extension chain.

Styling Notes

Wear it alone over a round neck, or with a thin gold chain. The purple reads as quartz and lacquer, not costume violet.

Care Instructions

• Avoid prolonged water, perfume, and direct sun. Amethyst can fade in strong light.
• Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
• Natural raw lacquer contains urushiol. Stop wearing if itching or redness appears.
